TSTA 2021: Rediscovering the Joy of Teaching Science has ended
Friday, October 29 • 8:00am - 9:00am
Children's Books and Classroom Activities to Encourage Students' Curiosity and Comfort with the Outdoors!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Today's children are less inclined to play or explore the outdoors than the previous generations. Researchers and teachers understand the importance of time out of doors for brain development, development of fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, curiosity, and mental and physical health. Explore children's literature (picture books and novels) that may pique students' interest in being outside and participate in activities appropriate for a wide span of learners that will draw them into nature. There will be a drawing for free books! To access the agenda and handouts, please visit https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1amymnSbgdukZ-r6J32dR7PETFGvXTfK0?usp=sharing.  Documents will be shared until December 31, 2021.
